OfficeReady Toolbar not Appearing in Office 2007/2010

In some cases, you may not see the OfficeReady Toolbar in Microsoft Office 2007/2010. To fix this, follow these simple steps below.

First, you'll need to enable macros. To do this, follow these steps:

  1. In Word (or Excel or PowerPoint), click the File tab, and click Options.

    Click File, then Options

  2. This will open the Options dialog box. Click Trust Center, then click Trust Center Settings.

  3. In the Trust Center, click Macro Settings.

    Macro Settings

  4. Ensure that the Macros are enabled.  Click OK.

Next, you'll need to make sure that the toolbar has not been placed in the Disabled Items. To do this, follow these steps:

  1. Once again, click the File tab and click Options.

    Click File, then Options

  2. This will open the Options dialog box. Click Add-ins, and then choose "Disabled Items" from the "Manage" drop-down at the bottom.

    Add-ins Disabled Items

  3. This will open the "Disabled Items" window. If you see an entry titled "No Name Provided", select it, and click "Enable". This should remove it from the list, at which point you can click OK.

After you have completed all of the steps above, close the application, and restart it. You should now see the OfficeReady Toolbar.

Note: Completing the steps above will only enable the  toolbar for the application you are currently in, not for Office 2007/2010 as a whole. For example, if you enable the toolbar in Word 2007/2010, you will still need to repeat the steps in Excel 2007/2010 and PowerPoint 2007/2010.
