The support information below is meant for troubleshooting the most common issues regarding the OfficeReady Family Suite which includes Office Policy Manual, Marketing Plans and Business Plans. Error Messages:
- When I attempt to convert my document to PDF format, I receive a message stating "The PDF Converter does not appear to be installed. Please reinstall the convert before continuing."
- During the product setup/installation, I receive a message stating "Unhandled Exception: Failed to load dll: ParkerUnParker. Setup will now terminate."
- When I attempt to insert an image into a Microsoft Word document, I receive an error message that says the OR Photo component is not installed. What do I do?

What are the minimum system requirements for OfficeReady Pro and other OfficeReady Products?
OfficeReady will work with the following operating systems: Windows 98, Windows Me, Windows NT 4.0, Windows 2000, Windows XP with SP2 To take advantage of the templates and associated products, you must have: Office 2000, Office XP or Office 2003.Where can I find my 'Unlock Code'?
Your unlock code is included in your order confirmation email and is printed on a slip of paper included with your CD that was mailed to you. If you ordered online from our website, please click here to log into your order and retrieve your unlock code.During setup, the installation window hangs at 100%. What do I do and why is this happening?
If your copy of OfficeReady Pro 3.0 came bundled with a Nolo product (i.e. Quicken Legal Business Pro), the CD you received was reproduced before Service Pack 2 (SP2) for Microsoft Windows XP was released and is not compatible with SP2.
This can be easily resolved. Please click here to download our OfficeReady Pro Installation Cleanup tool. Once you?ve run the cleanup utility, click here to contact our support staff to receive another copy of the OfficeReady product on CD or via download.
NOTE:
You may receive a message stating "There appears to be no OfficeReady Pro 3.0 Product(s) installed on this machine, Cleanup operation cannot be carried out. The Setup will now Exit."
If you receive the above message, please click here to view our PDF document which gives step-by-step instructions on how to manually remove the program from your machine.During the setup, I am prompted to remove the "MS Works Suite add-in." Will this affect the usage of MS Works?
According to Microsoft's documentation, the Microsoft Works Suite add-in for Microsoft Word may conflict with various applications. When you install OfficeReady Professional 3.0, the setup program checks to see if you have the MS Works Suite Add-in for Microsoft Word installed. If so, the setup program uninstalls the MS Works Suite Add-in for Microsoft Word. Removing the MS Works Suite add-in will not effect your usage of MS Word.
NOTE:
Please keep your MS Word CD handy, as you may be prompted for when the MS Works Suite Add-in for Microsoft Word is being uninstalled from your system. If you do not have your MS Works CD available, please click here to visit Microsoft's website for the removal program.Setup has detected Microsoft Word is running even though I have closed Word. How can I continue the setup?
Although you may have the application closed, Microsoft Word may still be running in your system background. To confirm, and to end the Microsoft Word process please follow the instructions below.1. Close all open windows and programs 2. Hit Ctrl+Alt+Delete (all together) to open the Windows Task Manager 3. Click on the Processes tab 4. Click on the header Image Name to sort the list in alphabetical order 5. Locate the file name either winword.exe OR word.exe and click on it 6. Click on End Process 7. Confirm the process termination by selecting Yes My Installation file has been corrupted, how do I download again?
If you feel that your installation file (.exe file) has been corrupted in any way, you may do one of the following:1 If you placed your order online, you may login to your order and re-download the program by clicking here. 2 If you received a CD from us, please contact us to send you a new CD.
General Usage:
The OfficeReady toolbar does not appear to load, what do I do?
If you have MS Word or another Office application open and do not see the OfficeReady Pro toolbar, perform the following steps:1. Click on Help and select About Microsoft Office Word. 2. In the new window, click on Disabled Items and this will open a list of all disabled items 3. Click on the OfficeReady add-in and then select Enable. 4. If you do not see any disabled items, click on OK and please contact us. I am unable to open OfficeReady Pro even though it is installed on my computer.
In order to access your installed copy of OfficeReady Pro 3.0, you must have full Administrative Rights on the machine and can only access the program from the User Account you installed the program.
For example:
There are two (2) user accounts on the machine and both user accounts have full Administrative Rights. During installation, you are logged in under User Account #1 and upon completion of the installation you log out of User Account #1, and logon to User Account #2 to access the program. The program will not be accessible in this fashion. Please log back into User Account #1 to gain access to the programThe calculations in the Microsoft Word templates do not appear to work.
All calculations within the MS Word templates are controlled by Macros. If you are unable to run the calculations, please verify that your Macro security is set to Medium (this setting allows you to choose whether you want to enable the Macros)
To do this from any MS Office application:
1. Click on Tools from the top menus. 2. Select Macro 3. Click on Security in the drop-down menu. 4. In the new window, make sure Medium is selected and click on OK or Apply. When I attempt to edit the formulas in the Microsoft Excel files, I get an error condition. How can I proceed?
MS Excel template cells may be locked for editing. To unlock the cells please do the following:1. Click on Tools and select Protection. 2. In the drop-down menu, click on Unprotect Sheet. Why am I unable to apply my profile to some documents?
The profile feature in only available with the MS Word templates and is available on a select group of these template. Profile information can be applied only to those templates that contain profile fields. Excel and PowerPoint templates do not support profiles.
PDF Creation:
When I click on the convert to PDF button, nothing happens. What do I do?
It is possible that the PDF converter was not installed properly. To reinstall the PDF component only, follow the following steps:
Alternatively, you may copy and paste the entire path C:Program FilesOfficeReady Pro 3.0PDF Componentinstall.exe into the Run command.1. Click on Start 2. Select Run and then click on Browse. 3. Navigate to C:Program FilesOfficeReady Pro 3.0PDF Component and select install.exe. 4. Click on Run to install.
To open the run command, click on Start and select Run.Can I convert my Microsoft Publisher files to PDF format?
To convert MS Publisher files to PDF, you must have Publisher 2000 or above installed to your PC prior to installing OfficeReady Professional.How can I make sure that the hyperlinks in the converted PDF are "clickable"?
There is an option within the ORPro 3.0 PDF Converter printer properties that needs to be enabled for hyperlinks to be "live" and "clickable." To do this, follow these steps:1. Open your Printers and Faxes folder, locate the printer ORPro 3.0 PDF Converter and right-click on the icon and then select Properties 2. From the General Tab, click on Printing Preferences 3. In the new window, click on the Advanced Options tab and check Automatic Conversion to Hyperlinks 4. If your link contains a space, the link will not be "clickable" Why do some fonts appear to be different in some converted PDF documents?
Special fonts and characters will not be recognized by the default PDF printer settings. We have an add-in available for download which allows the embedding of special fonts and characters. Please click here to download the add-in .
Error Messages:
When I attempt to convert my document to PDF format, I receive a message stating The PDF Converter does not appear to be installed. Please reinstall the convert before continuing.
You may receive the above mentioned error if the PDF converter installation process was interrupted in any way. To resolve this issue, you will need to manually install the PDF converter.
